Overview
When Yugo wanted to refresh their Bramall Court site for new students, we worked together to maximise their budget with great-quality and value products and services. This has included manufacturing and supplying new comfort mattresses to enhance their tenant's sleep, new fridge/ freezers to accommodate communal kitchens and a complete refreshing paint job, among much more.
Challenges
Every year, we work with building managers who need to replace worn or faulty products in their PBSA. Yugo wanted to completely revamp their furnishings to ensure their accommodation was fresh and provided an inspiring, comfortable space for the students living there. However, they had a limited budget and needed to spend this wisely to get the most cost-effective result. They wanted a simple solution for an all-in-one service provider and had problems finding this.
Our Proposal
To maximise their budget, we worked closely with our UK mattress manufacturers to supply a product that would be suitable for their spaces whilst minimising spend (bulk order savings would help). These would be delivered rolled up, to utilise truck space and minimise delivery costs. We would instruct our Facilities Management team to inspect and carry out decorative works too, so that it could all be easily managed.

- With savings made, we would be able to supply additional products within budget
The Solution
Based on their brief, we decided our Waterproof Oxford Comfort mattress would be the ideal product, to not only provide the comfort levels they were looking for, but also the safety and waterproof protection needed in student rooms, with proven durability.
We also sourced cost-effective fridge/freezers suitable for sharing, sofas that would be a stylish addition to their communal areas, and desk chairs to accommodate ergonomic study needs. Our own accredited FM team are working on the decoration currently as an ongoing project.
The Result
The rooms have been upgraded to enhance the student living experience and we’re sure their new intake will be very happy. The slightly dated décor and appliances have been renewed and refreshed, hopefully creating an even better space for students to cook, socialise and sleep.

- 121 communal areas revived into bright, inspiring new spaces with fresh paint and new stylish sofas
